what are second-grade kernels?

Our second-grade kernels are also from new season Australian grown apricot stones, and are just as fresh and nutrient rich as the first-grade. They are comprised of the kernels we rejected from the first-grade as not being as visually appealing. Some might have an overly shriveled appearance, be broken, have missing skin or have some other characteristics that differentiated them from the higher standard we include in our first-grade kernels.
If your intention is to grind or crush your kernels, their appearance may not be important to you, making the seconds-grade an ideal option.
